September is when a lot of students go back to school after their summer holidays and after the August obon holiday when many Japanese have a holiday. It’s a great time to put some extra effort into promotion to get new students. I will be handing out flyers and dropping flyers into mailboxes in Tsukaguchi. Yesterday I got a signboard that I hadn’t used for a while back up downstairs in the front of my building. I’ve made some videos for my school’s web site, which will added to it very shortly.
I’m pumped and ready to put in the extra effort! Here I go!

＜頑張るのは今！＞ ２００８年９月１日（月）
９月は夏の休暇のあとみんなが学校や職場に戻る月です。 学生は長い夏休みを楽しみ、働く日本人の多くはお盆休みを取り、リフレッシュして再稼動するのが９月です。 そんな時だからこそ、新しい生徒さんに一人でも多く来てもらえるよう９月は私にとっても“頑張り時”なのです。 これから私は学校のビラを手渡したり、塚口の学校近辺の家々のポストにビラを入れていこうと思っています。 昨日、しばらく置いていなかった学校案内のサインボードを、学校のあるビルの１階に設置しました。 最近、私は学校のビデオを作りましたが、もうすぐスミス英会話のホームページの、私の学校のページに載りますので楽しみにしていてください。

Good luck with fall promotions and good job dusting off the old sign and getting it out there to be seen. We at SSE Ohtsu recently bought and put up a new 100cm by 300cm banner. It’s hanging off our balcony on the 8th floor…. we hope people will look up and see it! Good luck all with the fall!
