Birthday Mania　誕生日がいっぱい！

The other day at Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi, I asked 2 students studying in the same class when their birthdays were. One of them said “today” (July 28th) and the other said that hers was on July 30th! We laughed because his birthday was on that very day and because their birthdays were so close to each other.  Even more amazing for me was that I had asked another student when his birthday was in the class before theirs, and he had told me that it was on July 29th!  Those students birthdays were July 28th, July 29th and July 30th! Amazing!

Yesterday I emailed one of them to say “happy birthday”. I will email another student today and the other student tomorrow.

＜誕生日がいっぱい！＞　２００８年７月３０日（水）

先日、スミス英会話塚口校で同じ時間帯にレッスンを受けた二人の生徒さんに「誕生日はいつですか」と聞いてみました。　男の生徒さんは「今日（７月２８日）です。」と答え、もう一人の女の生徒さんは「７月３０日です。」と答えたのです！　なんと二人の誕生日はとても近く、しかも彼の誕生日は丁度この質問をした“その日”だったので、私たちは笑ってしまいました。　もっと面白いことには、このレッスンの少し前、私はまた違う生徒さんにも誕生日を聞いていました。　そして・・・それは７月２９日でした！　だから三人の生徒さんの誕生日は７月２８日、２９日、３０日と続いていたのです！　なんと言うことでしょう！

昨日、私は「誕生日おめでとう！」と７月２８日が誕生日の生徒さんにバースデーメールを送りました。　今日と明日、あと二人の生徒さんにもメールをしようと思っています。
