tulipsMaybe the End of January/ beginning of February is a little bit early for this beauty of a flower, but on seeing them in the flower shop in Fuse, Higashi-Osaka 東大阪布施, these tulips チューリップ just caught my eye. The tulip is a really famous flower and I sure that everybody knows them, but new to me were the two colored tulipsチューリップ you can see in the bottom right corner. Now the Conversation students 英会話生徒 and teachers at our school can enjoy their splendor for the second week!

Tulips are typical spring flowers. As the days here in Osaka 大坂 are slowly getting warmer and more spring like, it is like inviting an early spring to our English Conversation school 英会話学校 in Fuse, Higashi Osaka東大阪布施. Their bright red and yellow color adds to that feeling. Every time a look at them it is like an early spring day has come!

For the English Conversation students 英会話生徒 at the school the flowers proved a nice chance for natural English Conversation英会話. A couple of them are know Ikebana 華道 and are very helpful with useful tips for keeping the flowers beautiful. One English Conversation student 英会話生徒 told me that especiチューリップally the tulip will stay nice longer if you prick the stem with a needle just below the flower. I guess for these flowers it is already a little bit to late but for the student it was a welcome opportunity to learn some new English words which are connected with her hobby. Another student explained why the normally closed tulips チューリップopened up in the heated reception room. It is due to the heat. It was a nice challenge for her to express that in English英語 and she mastered the task fantastically.

Opposite to the first flower this year, the Rodgersiaヤグルマソウ, there is plenty of information on wikipedia and other web pages specialized in the the flower. So here are the links in English英語 and Japanese to the wikipedia pages.
