I have been the franchisee and teacher of Smith’s School of English, Kawanishi スミス英会話川西校 for one year today!!!!!!!!
I have always loved languages, especially English, so it is really rewarding being able to earn my living teaching my favourite language at my own English conversation school. I always enjoy my lessons with my very special students, especially that I learn as much from them as I hope that they learn from me. As well as my mother language, I am always happy to share my many interests with my students. In return, they are always more than willing to share their own interests and culture with me. What a rewarding time we spend together.
But the greatest reward of all is sharing my time with such warm and generous people. My students never seem to need an excuse to give me a present. Any date in the calender linked to presents, any trip they go on, seems to present an opportunity for them to present me with a gift. One student, who never takes even a weekend trip without bringing a souvenir for me, apologised last Saturday because his wife had baked a cake for me (no occasion – pure generosity), but he had forgotten to bring it. Later the same day he rang my doorbell; he had brought the cake. I really was so moved by their kindness.
In the short time of the year that I have owned my school (and today is a year exactly) I have made many friend in my classroom and I look forward to seeing them each week. To any of you reading this, thank you.
THANK YOU, MY STUDENTS

John congratulations and best wishes for many more years of enjoyment working with your students to improve their English conversation skills. I, and I’m sure all other owner/teachers, have a similar story because we are genuinely interested in our student’s welfare and we ensure that they get value for money when they pay for their lessons by the month – it’s without doubt the best and safest way to go.
