Unfortunately, due to the heavy rain and strong winds Ohanami (お花見) came to a quick end here at Azamino Station (あざみ野駅) and the rest of the Tokyo area. However, I was able to get out one last time before the storm, which I am very happy about. One of my students at the Smith’s English Conversation School (スミス英会話 あざみ野校) told me about a great area just a short walk from Azamino Station (あざみ野駅). Over by Caritas Jr College (カリタス女子短期大学 ) there’s an amazing road that has many cherry trees on both sides so it was a great area for Ohanami (お花見). With trees on both sides of the street it formed a beautiful pink tunnel and was a very nice walk. Definitely a great way to spend the morning. Hopefully more people were able to get out and enjoy the Ohanami (お花見). I know many of my English students (英会話) were planning parties this last Saturday, which would have been wonderful if the weather was better. However with the cold wind and rain I think it put a quick end to many peoples plans for the cherry blossom viewing. So for those people who didn’t get out quickly they missed it this year, unless of course you live over by Calitas College (カリタス女子短期大学).
