Last Sunday I was off from my great job teaching English conversation (英会話) to wonderful students at Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi (スミス英会話 塚口校), which is located in Tsukaguchi (塚口), Amagasaki (尼崎市), Hyogo Prefecture (兵庫県), Japan. My wife and I spent part of the day helping her younger brother move to a new apartment in Tsukaguchi. Later on, we went to Nishinomiya Gardens (西宮ガーデンズ), a huge mall in Nishinomiya to watch Inception (インセプション), a science fiction-action movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gorden-Levitt, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard and Cillian Murphy.
We had some time to kill before the late show, which gave us time to have dinner and do some quick shopping at SEIJO ISHII (成城石井), a store which sells lots of imported food. Besides Smucker’s blueberry jam (which I love), we got some snacks for my Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi students, which included some delicious cookies from Canada called “Chocolate Maple Leaf Cream Cookies”. (^.^) Finally we watched Inception, which was great! With characters entering and doing things in people’s dreams, great special effects, lots of action and great acting, it’s quite entertaining from the beginning right to the very end. I highly recommend it. My wife and I always enjoy watching Leonardo DiCaprio, who is a great actor and always fun to watch. It was nice to see Ken Watanabe, a famous Japanese actor, co-star in this movie. We’d already seen him in The Last Samurai and Batman Begins. He’s great! It’s wonderful to see Japanese actors acting in big-budget American movies and making it in Holleywood. Good for them!
Happy movie watching everybody! (^.^)
