Visiting the World Cup Rugby Stadium in Higashi Hanazono
The Rugby World Cup 2019 will start tonight, and this Sunday September 19th will be the first game at the Higashi Hanazono stadium in Higashi Osaka! From Smith’s School of English Fuse in Higashi Osaka, it is just ten minutes by the Kintetsu train. So I used my free time in the morning for a visit to the new stadium.
Walking to the Higashi Hanazono Rugby Stadium

After stepping out of Kintetsu Higashi Hanazono station, the city has prepared a big welcome sign for all fans coming to the stadium. As the Rugby stadium is just 500 meters North of the station, it is easy to find for anybody. From the station, just walk straight on the right side, and then you will soon reach the stadium! On the way, you can buy a rugby ball shaped pyramid layer cake (Baumkuchen). Alternatively, you can also shop at one of the specialized Rugby shops. Or you can eat delicious Japanese food at one of the restaurants with Rugby specials! Higashi-Hanazono is ready for the Rugby World Cup 2019!
The People here are happy hosting the Rugby World Cup 2019
At Fuse school, I often talk with the English students about the Rugby World Cup 2019. Because our school is located in the same town of Higashi Osaka, they are all very happy and proud. This Rugby World Cup is coming to our town! As it is rare that an event is in Higashi Osaka and not Osaka, it is very special for the people here!
