After a hard & enjoyable day’s work usually on Saturday evenings, I have the urge to indulge myself in the delights of one of my favorite Japanese cuisines (Yakitori) or side dishes with beer as others would say. In any case, I must admit I’m pretty hooked due to the wide selection of meats on a stick, the fun surrounding it, the atmosphere and having the chance to socialize with new patrons.
I’m becoming a regular and everybody is starting to know who I am.
On one occasion there were a few guys sitting beside me and we struck up a conversation and we did the complimentary introductions. When I introduced myself as an English teacher (coach), they said, we know you, you work at Smith’s. They continued to say, they see me usually outside Otsu station wearing my outstanding T-shirt along with other TEAM members handing out flyers. They could easily recognize me, even though at the time I wasn’t wearing my Smith’s T-shirt that evening (it was in the laundry)
In a way I feel I have cemented my presence in Otsu and made the Smith brand a fixed entity here.
As mentioned before in one of my latter posts. Guerrilla Style Advertising is the way to go.
