Getting together with students outside the classroom is great. Once in a while, students at Smith’s Katsura(スミス英会話 桂) and I go out or have a food&drink party. Last month we went to a local restaurant in Katsura.
Everybody loves grilled meat so we chose a yakiniku restaurant called ‘Yumeya’(夢家). It’s only 3 minutes away from the school, right next to the Hankyu Katsura Station(桂駅).
Our tables were booked for 2 hours and there was plenty of food and drinks. We shared many funny stories and enjoyed a nice evening together. We had such a good time it came as a surprise how quickly our 2 hours passed. Actually, because we had a lot of meat to grill the very kind staff let us stay for another hour. No extra charge. Thank you to the staff of ‘Yumeya'(夢家).
The best thing about ‘Yakiniku’ is that we prepare and share all food. Everybody around the table helps with meat grilling and serving others. This way, the whole experience of eating out makes it even more special. We cook food for ourselves on a grill right in front of us. Like a big family.
I’m looking forward to a next event with my students.
