I was going through some old photos the other day and found this photo of my son. It was taken while visiting Canada on a holiday to meet his relatives. My son, Tyler, who was a little over a year old at the time called 911, (110/119 in Japan) while playing with the phone. My wife noticed that Tyler was playing with the phone and hung it up. A few minutes later, the 911 operator called back and asked if there was an emergency. My wife said, no and asked the operator why she had called. The operator replied that someone from the house had dialed 911. She realized that Tyler must have called and apologized. However a few minutes later a police car arrived at the house to investigate. The police officer asked to see Tyler to confirm that a child had made the mistake. My wife apologized again and took a picture of Tyler watching the police car as it drove away.
I know that at only a year old my son couldn’t have deliberately called 911 but his love of police cars and fire trucks makes me suspicious. If he could have spoken, he might have politely asked the officer when the fire truck would be arriving.

It is a really cute story. You might have a future policeman or firefighter on your hands. Every day is a blessing as they grow up.
