Watching Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides with a Student

You are here: Home / Blog / Watching Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides with a Student

On June 4, a Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi student and I watched Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides together.  This student invites me to watch a movie with him a few times a year and I always enjoy our outings together.  We can enjoy each others’ company, watch good movies and it gives my student a chance to practice his English outside the classroom which is good for him.  We watched the movie at a MOVIX theater in COCOE, a mall located in Amagasaki, the city where Tsukaguchi and my English School are located.  The movie was in 3D and we enjoyed it very much.  It had lots of action and kept us entertained from beginning to end.  We also enjoyed munching on some popcorn while watching as we always do. (^.^) We had some soft drinks as well. I had my usual drink, melon soda which I find delicious.

I look forward to my next night out at the movies with my student.

Derek- How did it compare with the previous 3 movies? Without Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, I imagine it was quite different? Was Johnny Depp his usual wild and wacky yet awesomely entertaining self?
