I have a friend staying with me at the moment. She has been here for two weeks. She is off back home tomorrow, it’s been great having her here. I have been able to practice my Japanese since I don’t have my boyfriend to rely on when we are out and about enjoying Japan.
We have gone to many different places together, she even ventured off to Hiroshima by herself. For the small amount of Japanese that I know, I think I have done pretty well at ordering food, shopping and giving the taxi driver directions to my apartment.
Having to speak Japanese while my friend has been here has given me more confidence to speak it. Even though we did get lots of Japanese people speaking English to us.
