Visiting Nara Park

You are here: Home / Blog / Visiting Nara Park

visiting nara parkWalking in the Park

One of the things that I love about Japan is being able to enjoy the rich history and culture. I really like to take the train or drive to the different prefectures and see the beauty of each place.

visiting nara parkNara Park is one of the places that I really enjoy visiting that is close to home. It is fun to feed and take pictures of the deer while walking through the beautiful green park. Even if there are many people, it is still possible to find a quiet place to sit and enjoy the day. I also like to go to Nigatsudo Temple when I’m there. It has a really good view of the city and park, especially in the fall. I can walk for hours around that area and never get tired of seeing the deer, temples and trees.

Taking a break

visiting nara parkThere is also a little place that I often go to when I visit Nara Park. It is called Kana kana cafe and it has some really great cakes and deserts as well as full meals. They have both Japanese and western style seating there. I have tried the Japanese way of sitting but it’s a little difficult for me, I think that my legs are too long.

visiting nara parkIt’s always sad to leave the park but I know that it is only a 45 minute train ride to get there so I can visit often…and usually do.
