Triple Bottom Line in Action in Japan

Hi it’s Mark here from Smith’s School of English Osaka, Fukushima. I’m a big supporter of companies using the Triple Bottom Line philosophy. This philosophy requires all organisation to make 3 profits simultaneously.

Companies all around the world have come to understand they must not make Profit for money by hurting people and the planet.

This hotel in Japan is helping people by providing lovely rooms. It is alos helping the planet by reducing water usage and demand on city wastewater systems. And finally it is helping it’s own profit for money by reducing laundry costs by encouraging people to think a little before dropping towels into wash pile.

This is a great example of an organisation making 3 profits simultaneously. Smith’s School of English is a big supporter of Triple Bottom Line philosophy and supports Japan in her efforts to be an SDG world leader
