The new year is in full swing now at last and it’s time for a serious look at testing for results. I’ve upgraded the teaching materials for the TOEIC, IELTS, TOEFL and CEFR examinations at the Smith’s School of English in Kotoen スミス英会話 甲東園. In addition, I’ve added a second CD player and room speakers to another classroom so students can now in theory take a practise exam with a teacher in one classroom and have an english conversation lesson in the other.
The track record at Kotoen for helping students improve their scores is 100%. For example, all students who took the TOEIC and IELTS tests in the past twelve months either increased their scores or did better than they expected. Considering test levels are constantly in a state of flux, this is very encouraging. There is plenty of incentive to look at even more ways to help students improve their much-needed scores and no English conversation organization in Japan is better prepared to do that than Smith’s! I know I’ll be looking at it from every angle to find more ways of squeezing quality cost-performance out of lesson time for all my students!
