THE SPICE OF LIFE

You are here: Home / Blog / THE SPICE OF LIFE

They say variety is the spice of life, but I think adventure’s the spice of life. Or perhaps it’s a combination of both…or they could even be one and the same. Either way, I’ve been enjoying my life here in Japan because every day is an adventure. Maybe it’s because I get to use the Japanese that I’ve been studying for the past 6 years. And yeah…maybe I also have a strange sense of adventure.

THE SPICE OF LIFE

The other exciting thing lately is that I’ve been cycling to work. I made the decision as a way to protect myself and my students in the midst of the current corona virus crisis. The government suggested that we avoid crowded places and since the trains usually are crowded it’s safer to ride my bicycle.

THE SPICE OF LIFE

It also gives me a chance to see Osaka city as I make my way to and from work. Actually, I’ve also been riding my bike on my days off to explore places that I usually wouldn’t see from the train. Plus, I love photography and I’m always looking for something interesting to photograph.

THE SPICE OF LIFE

I took some of these photos to and from work and also on my rides exploring the city. With variety being the spice of life, I use a variety of photography times and methods. However you choose to add spice to your life, I hope you will all continue to be safe as we overcome this current emergency.
