Last week Chigusa took a trial lesson with me and leveled as a strong beginner. At her first lesson she pulled out this paper and said "this is what I wanted to say to you last week, but I couldn't. May I?" I said "of course." She read it to me. It was about her purpose for studying English, her family, etc. I was very touched that a new student would put in such a great effort before her first lesson.
