Travelling is back
Many students at SSE Katsura want to go abroad and communicate in English. Last few years were not ideal for travelling. However, our students had the opportunity to talk about past travels and future plans. It is part of our English conversation practice. And from this year, many are ready to travel the world again. Here you can see how and where will some our students use their English communication skills.
Everyday English in Chicago

As I write this blog, one student has already departed from Japan. She will spend one month in the beautiful city of Chicago. Using English everyday while taking kids to a kindergarten, talking to teachers, shopping and other regular daily activities. I’m confident she will be able to communicate well enough to fully enjoy her time. Chicago in autumn is very beautiful and an ideal time for sightseeing. I’m looking forward to seeing her back in the classroom and hear all about her experience.
Business English in Dubai

As one student comes back to Japan, another will be on his way out. Staying two weeks on a business trip in Dubai. While spending large portion of time in a hotel environment he will use English not only for business but also to communicate in hotel, restaurants or taxis. Since Dubai has become international business center, English speaking skills are essential for all visitors.
Study Abroad English in Germany

Lastly, one student is now diligently preparing for an international school in Germany. While attending this school she will meet students from all around the world. Therefore English conversations will occur daily. Being able to talk to people will help her to feel more comfortable while living in a foreign country. And it’s the best way to make new friends.
I’m very happy to see my students being able to travel abroad again. It is truly a pleasure to coach English conversation and help students meet their wishes and achieve their goals. Tom, SSE Katsura.
Lots of success in your school Tom. They will all come back to you with more confidence. One of the best things about this job is helping people achieve their goals. Good job and congratulations to those students!
Thank you, Jim. Helping students is the job and that makes me happy.
Your blog shows how important useful English is in the world. Travel, business and study abroad are fine examples where knowing some English is useful or essential.
