Have you heard of the plane solar impulse 2(ソーラー・インパルス)? It is a very light plane, flying only with solar energy. It can store the energy in batteries, so the pilot is able to fly through the night, too. The solar impulse team is trying to fly around the world in about 13 trips. They started in Abu Dabi in the United Arab Emirates and came to Japan this June! Now they landed in Hawaii. I think that is really amazing!
They were flying from Nagoya（名古屋市） to Hawaii. It took nearly five days to fly about 8000 km to Hawaii. That is a world record for the solar impulse 2(ソーラー・インパルス) The plane is very light, so the pilot is alone. He could only sleep very short time for five days! He sleeps, eats, drinks, flies and does exercise in a small seat.
All of the trip can be seen on the great web page: www.solarimpulse.com You can always see where the plane is on a map. Also, sometimes there is a live video from the plane. There are many nice photos and videos. You can check on what 
the pilot is doing and read and write short messages. There is a live transmission about the solar impulse 2s (ソーラー・インパルス) altitude, the energy in the batteries and the time the plane is in the air. All the information is public, so everyone can see it. But it is all in English.
I am very happy that I know English and can participate in this adventure around the world. English is like a window that opens to the whole world. So many dreams come possible with English! For example, my dream is to learn to fly a small plane some day. Planes are quite expensive, so it is only a dream now. As one student of English conversation told me, for a pilot license English is a must. One more dream that only can be reached with English!
