    Derek,

I am looking forward to seeing your sub page on the event. The idea to switch to only English for a while was great.

    Derek,

The switch from all English to all Japanese must have been interesting. I believe that on these occasions our students can hear our Japanese ability and this inspires them to study English more and opens up an interesting dialogue in future lessons. Students often ask me where I study Japanese, how I study Japanese, how long I have been studying for, and so on. I believe that ALL students of ALL languages are keen to learn HOW to study and tips about studying language (ANY language) are helpful.

Nice annual party- I look forward to seeing the group picture and subpage.

    Edward, SSE Ohtsu

PS- Are we going to do another Osaka Castle Park Hanami party this year? I’m in!

    Hi Edward,

Thanks a lot. Yes, I agree. I recall one of my students, who I do English and Japanese language exchange with, playfully saying something like “kyouso shimashou” in Japanese, or “let’s compete” to me. She playfully challenged me to a race to see who could become really good at the language they were studying faster! (^.^)

I enjoyed doing another hanami party at Osaka Castle Park with you this year.
