I really enjoy my job teaching English conversation in Tsukaguchi and Kawanishi. Seeing students confidence go up and their English conversational skills improve makes me very happy. I also enjoy holding English School events for them which gives them a chance to use the English they have learned, spend time with me outside the classroom, relax and have a good time.
On June 16, I held a School of English Tsukaguchi (スミス英会話 塚口校) and Smith’s School of English Kawanishi (スミス英会話 川西校) barbecue event at Kobe Fruit Flower Park (神戸フルーツフラワーパーク). 15 people attended. It was my second time holding an event there (the first time had been in October 2011 for Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi). We had a great time!
After arriving there by free shuttle bus from JR Sanda Station, we enjoyed looking at some fish and turtles in a manmade pond there and also a nice water fountain.
Next we had a nice barbecue lunch in a big barbecue area. For dessert some of us had some soft ice-cream. My ice-cream was half macha, half vanilla in a cone. Delicious! My daughter and another little girl her age from our group enjoyed playing with some little dogs near the barbecue area. (^.^)
After lunch, we went to see some sheep. There were some slides next to the place where the sheep were, so my daughter (about 2 years 10 months old at the time) did some sliding. One of my students slid with her several times. (^.^) Great!
After that we relaxed a bit in the shade and went to a shop in the park to buy some souvenirs. I bought some sweets for my students and for my family. After leaving the shop, we enjoyed the pretty sight of colorful flowers. Finally, we went to a shuttle bus stop and eventually took the last shuttle bus back to JR Sanda Station and went back home.
What a great day we had! It was fun! I thank all who participated in my Tsukaguchi and Kawanishi English conversation school barbecue event. I hope to see you all at my next English conversation school events! (^.^)/
