Hello everybody! This is Sven from the Smith’s school of English(スミス英会話) in Fuse(布施)!

On Sunday, September 29th, we had a school event at the Octoberfest (オオサカオクトーバーフェスト2013) in Tennoji park (天王寺公園)! The weather was great. It was  sunny and partly cloudy. The atmosphere was relaxed, the sausages sizzling hot and the beer was cold and fresh.OF2013-12top

Since the Octoberfest in Tennoji park was first held in 2011, it has always been very popular. Many people from all over enjoy the food, the beer and the fresh air! Smith’s school of English in Fuse was there from the first year! It has become a regular school event since then!

We met for lunch time in front of the entrance gates of the park and went in to get some seats for all of us. At the festival were many booths which all served different foods and drinks. There were specialties from Belgium, from Ireland and from Germany.

So after we had met up, we went in groups to get the drink and food we wanted to try. A lot of us enjoyed the sausages, but there was also blue mussels (ムール貝), Brezel (プレッツェル) and nice sweets. The choice was so great, it was difficult to decide what to eat!

For the students who tried a beer, the choice was much greater. There were more than 30 kinds of beer from more than five countries! All came in big size, so that nobody went for a second beer this OF2013-6Allyear.

Later on, the live music started. It was traditional German folk music often played at the original Octoberfest in Munich, Germany!

After enjoying the food, nice conversations in English(英会話), the music and the beer during the afternoon, we made our seats free for the next customers who where coming to the Tennoji park (天王寺公園)Octoberfest(オオサカオクトーバーフェスト2013) and walked back to the station in Tennoji(天王寺) together to finally split up.

We all had a great time in the nice weather! We are looking forward to the Octoberfest(オオサカオクトーバーフェスト2013) next year! The Smith’s school of English(スミス英会話) in Fuse(布施) will definitely join the next Octoberfest again!
