I enjoy holding events for students, either Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi only events or joint events with other Smith’s schools. All events are great opportunities for Smith’s English conversation (英会話) students to practice their English, meet other students, make new friends, enjoy good food and have a great time with their teachers outside the classroom. So far this year, my English conversation school (英会話スクール) has held a New Year event by itself and a cherry blossom viewing (hanami) event with other Smith’s schools. The third event of the year, going to Kobe Fruit Flower Park in Kobe for sightseeing and a barbecue lunch at a restaurant, is going to be held next week for Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi students. Their families are also welcome to join. I’m looking forward to the event!

That was another awesome Hanami party this year! It’s always a pleasure chatting with the students from Tsukaguchi school (in English of course), seeing them yearly has become a highlight. The next event in Otsu will be our annual Halloween party, held at the school- it’s my favorite holiday and I love dressing up, carving pumpkins and chatting with students about Canadian style Halloween!
