Last week I attended a Smith’s School of English Seminar in Osaka. Smith’s teachers hadn’t gotten together in 3 years due to the pandemic, so it was refreshing to catch up with the owners and learn more about the company.
It was a good day for a few reasons. I enjoy riding the Shinkansen (bullet train), especially on a clear morning. It’s easy, fast, and convenient going from Yokohama to Osaka in 2.5 hours.
I almost got in trouble…
I arrived a little early, so I got some lunch at a cafe and went to my favorite music store in the area- Miki Gakki Low Brass Centerhttps://www.facebook.com/lowbrasscenter. Trombone is my hobby so it was difficult to leave without spending some money! But I did!
Smith’s School of English seminar was as good as ever and well worth the trip. Exchanging thoughts and new ideas with the franchise owners is always motivating. As we have a nice long 2-week break in front of us, I plan on using some of that time to make some changes to my school here in Sagamihara. Next year is looking very bright and I am looking forward to it.
Have a safe and wonderful winter holiday!
