At Smith’s School of English in Otsu we currently have a team of 4 teachers working together. Each teacher is unique in their own way and they all bring different teaching styles to the classroom. I wish to take this opportunity to introduce the members of our team to you. The first coach we will introduce is Chi-Yow Lee from the United States. Here is her self-introduction:
My name is Chi-Yow and I am from the USA. My family is from Taiwan, so I can speak Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese, but not as well as I used to. I am currently studying Japanese, and I can also speak some German.
I came to Japan because I am very interested in design, specifically architectural designs. I also enjoy Japanese rock, and some pop. Some of my other hobbies are art and photography.
Chi-Yow moved to Japan in 2013 and is already a very proficient Japanese speaker. She seems to have a knack for languages and shares this love of learning with our students. Chi-Yow primarily teaches in Otsu on Thursdays and Fridays. We are very pleased to have her on our teaching team.
