A few days ago ___ one of my classes a student remarked about a preposition that was ___ a paragraph that she was reading. She really couldn’t understand why that particular preposition was used. I tried to explain, and then realized that it really is natural English, and therefore probably very hard ____most English learners to understand, so today I’m going ___ add some more advanced prepositions. Ok, there not really advance, but they are going ____ seem a little strange I’m sure.

You know, here at Smith’s 英会話 Hirakata, Adrian likes the people that work for him ___ study certain things like “investing” or “self improvement? He really hopes that we get ____ it and have a good time with it, because he wants us ___ better ourselves. I can easily give you an example ____ the kind ____ things that I have learned ____ example the other day I was reading about investing in a book that Adrian let me borrow (forced me to read), and it explained that when most people buy a stock they want to try to get in ____ the ground floor. I too want to get in ____ a good price, but _____ what I’ve read there is also another way, dividends. Some people like to buy stocks ____ hold and ____ keep in their stock portfolio, so that they can earn dividends. Dividends are paid to a stockholder ___ a company if the company makes a profit, and most times ____ America the dividends are paid 4 times a year. If you own enough shares this can become a nice little salary ____ time. ____ myself though I like dividends. I mean I want to get ____ a good investment, so that my wife and I can have a stable retirement.
