Pink Friends

You are here: Home / Blog / Pink Friends

I had two pink level students who were friends, they are fairly new students here at Kyobashi school. For them to come together is great.
ET: Either will do
I asked what colour pen I should use to write on the board. They were looking at the pens very hard trying to decide what colour to use, unfortunately no one point came out. So, I hinted to them to use their one point from the previous lesson and they came out with “Either will do” straight away.

Routine: The Morning (8-14)
This routine was great for these two two students. They got through it pretty quickly and also picked up new vocabulary. It was great that they were friends as they weren’t shy to answer the questions and helped each other out if needed. One of the new words that arose was ‘prepare’ I took some time explaining this to them and once they got it they were thrilled to know a new word.
They also learnt the pronounciation of a word that I would imagine to be hard for a japanese person to pronounce. I told them a little secret on how to say it and they practiced this over and over again until they said it perfectly.

Item: Prepositions 2
Three important prepostions IN ON AT.
At the beginning of this item they didn’t know how or where to use these words in the right context. After going through a few sentences and questions they used all of them correctly. I was very pleased with this as knowing what one to use can get confusing for someone where English isn’t their frist language.

One Point: Hang on
As soon as I put this on the board they both mimed the action. I told them that they were right but it also means something else. I told them how it also means wait for a short while and also the different contexts in which it can be used.
