Party at Smith’s Kyobashi

You are here: Home / Blog / Party at Smith’s Kyobashi

On the 4th of June 2011 Smith’s School of English in Kyobashi organized a sausage and beer party!

From the very beginning, it was clear that many students will turn up for the party.

When we put the posters up on the wall and asked students if they would be interested in seeing other students and use English conversation in a more casual environment outside the classroom, majority welcomed the idea.

So, it wasn’t a big surprise that on that night our school was packed. Over 35 people turned up!

The school was full and students were mingling around, having a great time. The stereo sound had to be turned down, because the noise level was so high that people weren’t able to talk to each other without shouting, and as our goal was a friendly, casual English conversation, the music had to be set on the minimum.

But, even with the sound on low the place was buzzing. There was a great atmosphere through the whole party. New friendships were made and some students met again after a long time.

Food was very nice, we had smoked German sausages and many kinds of European cheeses. Some our students also prepared food for the party. Ms. Kiyose baked a bacon bread, and Mr. Nakamura baked a cake. Both were great! Thank you!

We had a lot of fun and all students tried to speak English with teachers and more importantly with each other, which was the main idea behind this wonderful evening.

The party was a great success and hopefully we’ll repeat something similar any time soon at Smith’s School of English, Kyobashi.

That sounds fun! I am sure that your students appreciated this opportunity to use their English outside the classroom. Well done! Keep up the great work at Smith’s School of English Kyobashi!
