This was the Headline in a Japanese newspaper last week.
More and more, companies are only hiring people who speak English. More and more, companies are insisting that existing employees brush up on their English skills. More and more, Japanese companies are switching to English as the language used at work.
This means that more and more, people need English Schools. English is no longer just a hobby. It is no longer just a subject taught at school to be quickly and easily forgotten by those who don’t like it or didn’t do well at it. English is becoming essential in Japan.
Learn English. Be able to converse in English. Or get left behind.
Parents want their children to learn English to give them an advantage in their schooling and later their careers. High school students need English to get into a good university. University students and job-seekers need English to be competitive in the job force. People already employed need to learn English in order to keep their jobs.
All of these people are looking toward English schools to help them attain their English goals.
What a wonderful time to own an English Conversation school in Japan!
No English. No Job.
Enough said.
