A week ago I ordered and received two Smith’s Flags that I could put outside my new school premises here in Otsu. I was able to put one outside the entrance of the building and the other adjacent on the main road.
The flags themselves are great. I didn’t realize how big they would be and how outstanding they are in their vivid yellow and blue colors. It would be hard not to see them.
As a bonus, I went to the 100 yen shop and bought two plastic wall pockets along with double sided tape and two clear zip lock bags. I then went about affixing the wall pockets to the flags’ base weights. I then put a bunch of flyers inside the zip lock bags sealed them up and inserted then in the wall pockets. If it rains there will be no problem too. So now when someone walks past a flag, they can take a flyer and at the same time instantly know what we have to offer.
It will be just a matter of time before the students start rolling in. If you also have flags at your school, I think it maybe worth a try. It will not take up much of your time or money and I’m sure you will benefit from it.
