My Winner’s Bible (and Yours?)

You are here: Home / Blog / My Winner’s Bible (and Yours?)

What Does the Winner’s Bible Tell Us?

Well, lots.

What is the Big Difference Between it and Other Self Help Books?
The biggest difference for me between this book and other self help books of personal growth books is that… you make your own winners bible. This book should be ideally suited to you and not really of any value to anyone else.

What is Your Own Winner’s Bible?
It is a book that you are supposed to flip through daily to keep clear on the main points in your life… as I will show below.  The change in your brain  is gradual, but lasting.  Paths in your brain that are fired more, get stronger and last longer.  That is another way of saying what the Buddha said: You are what you think (I am translating liberally here).

How Do You Make the Book?
He gives instructions on the different parts of the book you must make in each chapter.  It unfolds gradually.

You read and make a part. Read and make a part.  That way, making it never turns into an overwhelming process.  And besides, he says, it is supposed to grow with you.  You are supposed to change it as it becomes suitable to change the parts.

What is in the Personal Winners Bible You Make?
Well, mostly images.   He  uses intensive visualization quite a bit.  The brain can think in words, but the natural default mode for many parts of the brain is images.  That plus images are processed more rapidly so they convey more meaning faster than words.  Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words (or more?).

Of course, there are some words.  Words also have power and words that have special meaning to you have special power for you.  So you have to find those words and use them in the book.

Here are some of the parts of the book (not in any particular order):

  • strengths and weaknesses
  • audit (you get help with it here)
  • intrinsic motivators
  • goals
  • happy section

but there’s more.

Here at Ikoma Smith’s School of English like every Smith’s school of English, I do lots of reviewing because I know the power of review. Doing something well once is no indicator of future performance. But doing something well many times over allows deep wiring of the skill. This kind of learning lasts for a long time. The big difference is how we use the concept of spaced repetition. And that’s what is going on (partially) in the Winner’s Bible.
