At Smith’s School English in Okamoto スミス英会話岡本校, in two weeks we will be exploring the question of which Beatle was the most prolific and best songwriter, McCartney or Lennon. There was a great post on Yahoo about it. ‘Was it John or Paul?’
As you may remember Paul won the third annual Gershwin award a few months ago and received the award from President Obama. John of the Smith’s School of English – Kawanishi スミス英会話川西校 and I made a short TOEIC Part 3 type listening exercise about it. It is funny but when we did that one I was thinking about the same question. I thought that if John Lennon were still alive, he might have won this award before Paul. They both wrote many excellent songs. But reading the article, I realized that George Harrison also wrote several. I am wondering if any other artist or group will ever exceed their level of fame.
So please look forward to this new online lesson in the coming weeks. And think about it. Was it Paul or John?
