Every year, some Smith’s schools from the Kansai area of Japan hold a hanami event together, picnicking under cherry trees with pretty, blooming cherry blossoms at Osaka Castle Park in Osaka. This year’s event is going to be held on April 8. A little over 60 people are expected to join this year. Six schools will be participating: Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi, Otsu, Fukushima, Senriyama, Fuse and Kyobashi. My English conversation (英会話) school in Tsukaguchi, Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi (スミス英会話 塚口校), has been participating in this annual event since it was first held in 2008. All Smith’s students, school owners, staff and their friends and families are welcome to come out and join us. The meeting place and time is JR Morinomiya Station at noon. If you decide to join, you need only bring a picnic lunch and something to drink. Let’s have a great time together! (^.^)
