コスモスHave a look at these splendid cosmos コスモス here in our school in Fuse, Higashiosaka (東大阪布施). As I am always open to good suggestions, I followed the advice of my students 英会話生徒 and got a really autumnal flower. I choose the violet color as it is my sons favorite. (He is a real やんちゃ, as it is said in Japanese, and is favorite characters are the sinister characters like Baikinman バイキンマン of the famous Anpanman アンパンマン cartoon of Garizo ガリゾー of the Hanakappa 花カッパ cartoon. Both are violet, too.)

Sorry to change the subject, but talking about English Conversation 英会話 and Cosmos コスモス, I like to use the flowers in the classroom 教室 in Fuse, Higashiosaka 東大阪布施 as a natural introduction to English conversation 英会話. This weeks, I practice natural exclamations 喜びの声 of appreciation with my students 英会話生徒. ”Oh! How beautiful the Cosmos are!”  or ” Wow! What a wonderful violet!”, are some examples of the more natural exclamations喜びの声, but “Wow! I can`t believe it! Such a beauty! Such a violet! I`m absolutely taken of my feet!” was kind of an overshot. Nevertheless, we could use these exclamation to practice rhythm and melody better than any other. Out of all the remarks, the one that made me happiest was:  “It`s my favorite flower!” from the student who had suggested the flower in the first place.

For those who would like to know more about the flower, here are the links for Wikipedia, even thought the pages are not really detailed.
