Japanese NOU

You are here: Home / Blog / Japanese NOU

Everyone knows that Kyoto’s famous for their temples and now as the leaves are changing colors people from all over Japan will descend to Kyoto to witness the stunning beauty. With another long weekend coming up it’s sure to be very busy and although it may be a little cool the clean crisp air it should make for a photographer’s dream.

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts I have been kindly invited to attend my student’s NOU performance and it just so happens that it’s going to be held in Kyoto so my wife and I have decided to make a day out of it. We’ll probably head up there in the morning and spend most of the day wandering around. I’m sure my little one will enjoy all the different sights and smells. Then at around 5:30 we’ll go to the hall where my student will perform. It’s free so I think it’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in Japanese culture. It will be held at the KAWAMURA NOUBUTAI (Kyoto Karatsuma Kamida Chuuri) near the Imadegawa (Subway station). Take exit 2 and head north. It will start at 2:30 and finish at 7 but my wife and I are only going to see the final few performances. Hope to see some of you there.

Adrian

    Adrian,

Sounds like you are going to have a good time. What day is your student’s performance? It is also great to take in some real Japanese culture.

Oops…thanks for letting me know Al. Guess I should have mentioned that – it’s this coming Monday, the 24th.
