It’s Warming Up

You are here: Home / Blog / It’s Warming Up

I’m pleased to see the weather getting warmer little by little here in Tsukaguchi (塚口), Amagasaki (尼崎市), Hyogo Prefecture (兵庫県), Japan, the location of my English conversation school (英会話スクール) and great students, Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi School (スミス英会話 塚口校) . Today is a big chilly but some days are quite warm.  I like the saying that the Japanese have for this variation in temperature at this time of the year,  “sankan-shion”, which basically means three cold days and four warm days. It’s a battle between winter and spring which spring is about to win!  \(^.^)/

I have a winter jacket but I wear my Smith’s jacket whenever I can. I love it. It’s light, not too hot and lets everybody know who I am (if they don’t already do). You can see me wearing it in the photo, which was taken last Sunday when I went to COSTCO in Amagasaki with my wife. In the background you can see the muffin section. I just love those muffins from COSTCO. They’re huge, delicious and go very well with “Masala chai”, an instant chai tea mix which I also get at COSTCO (and which many of my students also love). (^.^)

Well I’m off soon to get a haircut at my hair salon, “Pierrot”, located near JR Tsukaguchi Station in Tsukaguchi. After that I’ll be heading to my English conversation school (英会話学校) and have my students speak English conversation (英会話) as much as possible while having a great time! (^.^)

Enjoy the rest of the day everybody!

Derek
