Everybody loves Thai food, even those who are relatively uninitiated into the complexities of very spicy food. In fact, belief that every single Thai dish is very spicy is a myth. Some dishes are in fact very, very mild tasting and others are uniquely savory. A properly conceived meal in Thailand or in any Thai food kitchen abroad would obviously take all these points into consideration and balance them appropriately.
One great Thai food place right in the neighborhood where my Smith’s School of English in Kotoen スミス英会話 甲東園 is located is such a restaurant where the beautifully home-cooked dishes have been nicely balanced. The amount and severity of spice is variable in the kitchen and further enhancements according to the patron’s discretion are available right at table.
Reasonable starter lunches are offered daily for around 800-yen and together with the authentic Jasmine rice cooked fresh every morning makes for a really nice meal much the same as what a real Thai person might eat on a typical work day without a second’s consideration.
Come give it a try, and while you’re at it, you can stop in for lesson at my school just a couple of minutes walk around the corner!
