Heard from a student who transferred to Yokohama

You are here: Home / Blog / Heard from a student who transferred to Yokohama
Rob, Derek and Al at Starbucks after the Seminar

Today I chatted with my student, Yuichi, who transferred to Yokohama for his job. He also transferred from my school in Okamoto (スミス英会話岡本校). He told me that he was enjoying his lessons at the Smith’s Azamino School. He said his teacher Rob (left in the picture) had told him he met me at the latest Smith’s School Seminar in Osaka. Rob had come over to share his ideas for new and exciting lessons. Yuichi said he was enjoying Rob’s lessons and he was a great teacher. he of course told me that he told Rob about my lessons too and this made me feel great.

Yuichi is great! He is such an earnest and good student and he has so many interests including music, science and parties too. He attended my Christmas party in December in Kobe and he told me he’ll be coming to my Cherry Blossom Viewing Party at Shukugawa Park too. That is so great.

I’m really happy to work within a franchise system where we can help each other and where our students have the freedom to transfer benefit from a franchise system who innovates and keeps it fresh. But is really great is when students keep in touch. It means we may have, if we value them and continue to keep in touch, a friend for life. It is also so great to be able to touch their lives in at least a little way which leaves a positive impression.

Love this job!

Al Bartle (Smith’s School of English – Okamoto)
