We are planning to have a small Halloween Party for some Smith’s Okamoto students on Saturday Oct. 27th at a local restaurant. I have already got about 12 people who are saying that they will attend. I think it will top out between 15 and 20 attendees. The restaurant only holds 26. I started talking to the restaurant about borrowing the restaurant for a few hours. They seem to be willing to do that for me. They have always been very nice and allowed me to put my flyers there in the restaurant.
Now I need to make more detailed plans. I have told the students that costumes are optional but I, of course, must have a costume and some decorations fitting the occasion. I am also looking forward to some of my younger students (elementary school level) attending. So now the planning phase begins. I have a few decorations I brought from the states but I will need a few more.
I am looking forward to this fun event. Take a look under events/Okamoto to see other fun events I have had in the past. It is always fun to extend the learning experience beyond the classroom.
