Halloween

You are here: Home / Blog / Halloween

Each year I set aside one week for Halloween. I really try and create a spooky mood for kids and adults alike. For kids I have a special lesson devoted to Halloween games and ask that every student comes dressed up – this year they didn’t disappoint. I donned my Jedi Master outfit complete with the coolest lightsaber ever. I used a pirate flag to cover my table, had spiders running along the ceiling and the all important plastic skull on the coffee table in the waiting room ready to greet people.

I also bought a fog machine which gave my classroom a very eerie feel. It was a joy surprising all my students and while I didn’t get dressed up for all my classes all the students commented on how much they enjoyed it. Here is a photo of some of the kids in costume, what are your favorites?

Overall I would have to say it was the best Halloween yet and next year I intend to invest in some new goods that will really surprise everyone. It does take a little time to get everything ready but the smiles on my students’ faces are priceless.

Adrian

    Adrian,

Great party and ideas. We also had a party…. but no kids at our party. Your party and school look great- nice decorations and costumes. It’s great that we can bring some of the spooooookiness of halloween to a few lucky Japanese people (our students). I look forward to seeing what you do next year! Stay tuned for our upcoming SSE Ohtsu halloween party post and video!
