Traveling in Japan

You are here: Home / Blog / Traveling in Japan

TRAVELING IN JAPAN I really love traveling in Japan and have visited many different places. For the last holiday weekend in February, I went to Shirasaki Ocean Park in Wakayama. In fact, I love going to Wakayama and driving along the coast. The scenery is always amazing. That day, the drive was fun and the sights were beautiful as usual. On the way I ate lunch at a small restaurant in a house on a hill off the coastal road.

TRAVELING IN JAPAN The house itself had a wooden interior with a large balcony and a great view of the ocean. The couple who owns the house and restaurant were very friendly. They live in Osaka and operate the restaurant only on the weekends. It was a very interesting time spent talking with them.

TRAVELING IN JAPAN When I arrived at Shirasaki Ocean Park, I was surprised to see that it was not crowded. I was able to take many great photos of only the rocks because there were so few people there. The day was bright and sunny but a little windy and cold though. One of the nice things about the ocean park is that there was a shop where you can rent barbeques. You can also rent scuba diving equipment and paddle boats. I plan on returning in the summer and having a barbeque by the beach. I’m looking forward to the drive back there again. Maybe I’ll even stop at the same restaurant and say hello to that nice couple.
