Great Weekend and Great Holiday in Japan

Great Weekend and Great Holiday in Japan.

Great Weekend and Great Holiday in JapanI really love the number of holidays here in Japan. They give me a good chance to travel around and see more of this beautiful country that I now call home. Last weekend I drove to Fukui. It was a long trip but also a lot of fun. The Japanese countryside is quite enjoyable to pass through with the green fields of rice and the old-styled houses. I often drive to different places here and really enjoy my time on the road. For me, seeing mountains while driving is something that I will always have an appreciation for. I also like to stop at the many rest stops on the highway so I can shop for local foods and treats. This one that I stopped at had a very nice view behind it.

Great Weekend and Great Holiday in JapanIn Fukui I want to Tojinbou. It is an amazing place to see…and a little scary because it was so high up. But I still walked out and looked over the edge and took this picture. There were a lot of people so it was a little crowded but was still a nice way to relax…when not standing too close to the edge.

A Temple visit

I stayed one night there and the next day I visited Eiheji. It was incredibly beautiful and very peaceful surrounded by forest. The temple is Really large and you can enter and have a tour for only ¥500. Because I love photography, I took many pictures both inside the temple and of the scenery around the complex.Great Weekend and Great Holiday in Japan

I had a lot of fun last weekend traveling to Fukui, driving through the mountains and being close to the sea. With the many government holidays here I am really looking forward to seeing many more beautiful and interesting places.
