On June 5, 2011 my wife Akemi, 10-month-old daughter Tina and I went to Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan in the Minato ward of Osaka, near Osaka Bay. My wife and I had been there before but not for a long time. We wanted to go again and especially to bring Tina there for the first time.
On the way there by train, we stopped in Hommachi to go to a Starbucks Coffee located on Midosuji Boulevard, the primary main street in central Osaka that runs north-south. We saw some nice sports cars parked outside the shop and across the street from the shop, including Porches and a Ferrari. Wow! We’d found the location of the Starbucks on the Internet just a bit earlier in the train using my iPad. I’d read that this Starbucks was popular and that sports cars could be seen parked outside the shop on Sundays. It was very true. If you like sports cars, perhaps you should go there on a Sunday!
After Starbucks we went to the aquarium where we enjoyed a wonderful variety of marine life. My wife and I touched some fish in an open, shallow tank where people were allowed to touch them. We touched some rays as well as some other fish. The rays were very smooth. It was a bit scary but fun! We enjoyed the aquarium. On our way back home we had dinner on the 8th floor of the building Yodobashi Camera (a chain store selling mostly electric appliances) is located in Umeda, Osaka before finally heading back to our home in Tsukaguchi. What a great day we had in Osaka! (^.^)
