Good Reason To Study English

You are here: Home / Blog / Good Reason To Study English

Have you ever wondered what would be a good reason to study English?

Hello, Tom from SSE Katsura here. Today I’d like to talk about why all my students share the same good reason for studying English.

Every student attending my lessons has different goals and aspirations. This variety is welcomed, supported and encouraged. For over ten years I’ve been helping learners in Japan to use English in various aspects of their life. Below, you can find a few examples of what that variety looks like.

As you can see, students are using their communicative skills for many reasons. And at the same time, they all have one thing in common . English language is connected to some part of their life. I believe that this commonality is precisely the one good reason to study English.

It is also the one reason why I dedicate my work to help people improve their communicative confidence skills. There are no small goals. Every goal is important and every student with a wish to get better at English is important. Seeing my students succeeding in their endeavors is the reward of my job.

Do you think that you might also have a reason to study English? Come see me and let’s work together on your aspirations.

Tom, SSE Katsura

Nice blog Tom. Interestingly enough, I saw a recent survey here in Japan. The question was worded something like “What is something you want to do this year? The number one answer for MEN was “Study English”. For as long as I can remember, women in Japan wanted to study English more than men. Maybe things are changing.

Thanks, Dan. I’d say that at my school it’s evenly divided.
