On March 3 was the Japanese Doll Festival (雛祭り) or Girl’s Day. You can read about this special celebration by clicking here. My Japanese wife’s father’s cousin made some dolls and gave them to my family for Tina who is almost seven months old now. It was very kind of her and we are very thankful to her. You can see them in the photo. The doll on the left represents the emperor and the doll on the right the empress. Aren’t they lovely? Great work.
