For the past few years MySpace has been the talk of the town when it came to social networking and as I love computers I took a look as so many people were into it. For some reason I could never get into it, much like I can’t find mixi all that enjoyable but over the past year one social network has been growing steadily and adding more user-friendly content – Facebook. I must admit that while I had an account on Facebook I didn’t use it much at first but these days I end up checking it at least once every two days or so. While it is similar to both mixi and MySpace, there are some big differences. You can share photos, videos, Youtube clips, games, check your horoscope, compare habits with your friends, test your IQ, play free games with friends as well as people all over the world. It truly is a site that brings people closer together. It might take a little while to get used to everything but I assure you that in time you’ll find yourself experimenting with all its capabilities. I’m still very much an amateur. One thing I have found though is that it allows you to find people that you went to school with that you lost touch with. I was amazed at how many people tracked me down and dropped me a line, I was rather touched since we hadn’t been in touch for over 10 years. As the site grows in popularity I’m sure you’ll find more and more of your long lost friends without having to do much at all. It’s also a great place to practice your English!!!! So if you get a chance I recommend you make an account and feel free to add me 🙂
