On Saturday, I got a new student at my English conversation school (英会話スクール), Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi (スミス英会話 塚口校), located in Tsukaguchi (塚口), Amagasaki(尼崎市）, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. This new student lives in Tsukaguchi and has been studying at another school for quite some time. Her school used to have a branch in Tsukaguchi but it was closed a few years ago, so she has had to go to another branch which is far from her home. Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi is conveniently located in Tsukaguchi, and after meeting me at her free trial lesson, she decided to join my school! Great!
I’ve had other students who were studying at other schools come for a trial lesson and join my school too. Here are 2 reasons why some wanted to change schools:
1. studying in large groups with little student talking time
2. teachers changing a lot
I am glad to be able to offer students small group lessons with more student talking time and always the same teacher (me). I’ve been the teacher at Smith’s School of English Tsukaguchi since 2002! Adding a safe monthly payment system (月謝制) to that, I can see why my school can be very appealing to English conversation (英会話) students.
