This week’s video is something of a lecture from famous British-born American philosopher Alan Watts. He starts out by asking the question “What would you like to do if money were no object?” and then proceeds to explain how our lives are shaped by our seeming dependence on money and how this dependence causes us to be unhappy. This lecture has been passed around the Buddhist zen scene of America and the cult underground before becoming popular in the mainstream. Hundreds of people creating videos to accompany the audio have helped this resurgence of Mr Watts lectures, making him a recent hit, as people search for ways to improve their lives and live the “good life”. Check it out, good luck and hope your life is a happy one. If you are having a hard time catching everything, the transcript is posted below the video (click on the show more button), so you can read along as you listen.
