Ed’s Weekly Video Recommendation: Fun in the Philippines

You are here: Home / Blog / Ed’s Weekly Video Recommendation: Fun in the Philippines

As with most people, I love to travel but have neither the time nor the money to travel as much as I like. Similarly and as with most people, I live vicariously through tales of travel instead. I was looking through travel clips on You Tube and I found this great clip called It’s More Fun in the Philippines. The title caught my eye and I immediately clicked on it and it was just that- fun. More than just fun though it was interesting and clever and beautiful and high-paced and made me want to jump on a plane for some fun in the sun. Don’t believe me- check it out for yourself!

It’s More Fun in the Philippines

There are lots of these videos put out by local tourism agencies and they are always fascinating, as they include local hot spots, cultural information as well as some historical points. These videos are like a quick overview of the area, nicely edited and [of course] cutting out all the negative points, so as to give the best possible impression of the area. A similar video of my hometown does an equally great job. I wrote about that video here a while ago, here’s the link:

My Hometown: Nanaimo BC Canada

The Philippines video has simple text, but it moves quickly so I had to use the pause button a few times and scroll back a bit to catch things I missed, plus they are making some quirky jokes and cute rhymes so it’s a bit tricky. The Nanaimo video is narrated but not too complex. Good luck!
