I found this great free documentary made by 3 friends who decided to cycle the length of Japan, both as an adventure and to raise money for those affected by the Tohoku Disaster. The video is about 45 minutes, and although not professionally made, it is quite wonderful to watch as these 3 guys traverse Japan from the far south to the far north, enjoying scenery and local food along the way. Most nights they camped, but sometimes kind locals invited them in for a meal or a night. Accidents, injuries, repairs- they encountered all sorts of difficulties but kept going. The last night was spent in a ramen shop! Their goal was to raise 1,000,000 yen (about $10,000 CAD) but ended up raising over 1,300,000 yen! Great guys, awesome adventure and a nice way to raise some money to help others.
